Food contamination

Category

Food contamination is easily caused if necessary precautions are not taken. Food contamination is caused by three primary factors. Beginning with physical risks, which occur when food is contaminated by physical materials such as glass, elastic, plastics, and so on. The second category is chemical risks, which include foods that have been chemically treated or foods that contain naturally existing poisons. Finally, the most prevalent cause of contaminated food is fungi, harmful yeasts, bacteria, and mould, which multiply and contaminate the food, resulting in food-borne diseases and illnesses such as food poisoning.
